How can I know which flow settings are suitable for me?

You can use pulse oximeters or our product O2Ring to check your blood oxygen levels. If you blood oxygen levels is lower than the target range, increase POC settings to keep your oxygen level in target range.

Can the portable oxygen concentrator be used without the battery?

Yes, it can be run without the battery if plugged into AC (wall) or DC (car) power. The package will come with both of these chargers.

Can I drive the car while using the oxygen concentrator?

Yes. This portable oxygen concentrator is battery-operated so that you can use it on the go. In addition, it can be powered by a vehicle's DC power source without the battery.

If your vehicle's input voltage is DC12V, it is recommended to either only charge the concentrator's battery without turning it on to prevent blowing the fuse, or alternatively, you can turn on the machine by the vehicle's DC power to get oxygen without the battery. By following these guidelines, you can ensure the functionality of the device and avoid any potential electrical issues.

*Note:

Breath Rate: the number of breaths you take per minute.

Oxygen Volume Per Minute = Breathing Rate x Oxygen Volume Per Breath.

This portable oxygen concentrator (POC) has a maximum capacity of 1,000 milliliters (ml) per minute, and the actual amount of oxygen delivered with each breath depends on your flow setting and breathing rate. The POC operates on a pulse dose oxygen delivery system, meaning it delivers a specific amount of oxygen per minute based on your breathing pattern.

For instance, if you set the POC to level 1, it will deliver a total of 210 ml of oxygen per minute. If your breathing rate is 10 breaths per minute, the machine will provide 21 ml of oxygen with each breath. However, if your breathing rate increases to 30 breaths per minute, the POC will adjust the oxygen bolus size to 7 ml per breath to maintain the total delivery of 210 ml per minute.

How does this POC make its own oxygen? Does it need a tank?

Portable oxygen concentrators function based on the same principle as stationary concentrators. They utilize a miniaturized air compressor to pressurize the surrounding air and pass it through small molecular sieves. These sieves have the ability to trap nitrogen, which constitutes approximately 78% of the air. Once the nitrogen is removed, the remaining gas is primarily oxygen, which can be delivered to the patient through a cannula or mask. The trapped nitrogen is then released back into the environment.

The technology employed in this process is called pressure swing adsorption (PSA). It separates different gas species from a pressurized mixture based on their molecular characteristics and affinity for an adsorbent material. Unlike cryogenic distillation techniques, PSA operates at near-ambient temperatures. Specific adsorptive materials, such as zeolites, activated carbon, or molecular sieves, are used to selectively adsorb the target gas species at high pressure. The process then switches to low pressure to desorb the adsorbed material.

Our portable oxygen concentrator is a battery-operated device that provides supplemental oxygen to individuals who require higher oxygen concentrations than what is available in the ambient air. It draws oxygen from the immediate environment, eliminating the need for refillable oxygen canisters or tanks, which simplifies maintenance and upkeep.

Who will benefit from the portable oxygen concentrator?

1. Individuals who enjoy outdoor activities such as outdoor hiking and plateau travel;

2. Hypoxic patients in need of short-term outdoor oxygen support;

3. Those experiencing headache dizziness, and sleep apnea caused by cervical spondylosis;

4. Mental workers and students looking to recover energy and focus;

5. The elderly who want to maintain their health;

6. Patients who have COPD, asthma, lung cancer, the flu, COVID-19, sleep apnea, heart failure, or cystic fibrosis.

What is the expected maintenance on the portable oxygen concentrator?

The maintenance of the portable oxygen concentrator is minimal. We recommend replacing filters that can be found on the bottom of the machine. Generally, this will be after several months, but is dependent on its usage and the climate.

 Can the POC be used at night?

Yes. The portable oxygen concentrator (POC) is specifically designed for 24/7 use, including during sleep. It supports oxygen inhalation more efficiently for a whole day and night when plugged in.

Equipped with intelligent delivery technology, the POC offers pulse dose delivery in 1-5 flow settings, making it an ideal choice for sleep therapy. This technology provides flexibility by adjusting the oxygen bolus size as your breath rate slows during sleep. It also detects shallow breaths during sleep and delivers bolus doses accordingly, ensuring you receive the required amount of oxygen in liters per minute.

To ensure uninterrupted use throughout the night, it's important to consider the battery running time, which typically ranges from 1.5 to 5.5 hours. It's advisable to ensure you have enough power to last through the night. If you require a higher oxygen flow setting, you can remove the battery and use a power cord to connect the POC to an outlet for continuous operation.
