Mini Portable O2 Concentrator FAQ

Frequently-Asked Questions

Is this a continuous-flow or pulse-dose oxygen concentrator?

It’s pulse-dose only. Oxygen is delivered when you inhale (breath-triggered). It does not provide continuous flow.

Who is this mini portable oxygen concentrator designed for?

  • Outdoor enthusiasts, athletes, and adventurers (e.g., hikers, campers, high-altitude travelers) needing on-the-go oxygen support.
  • Individuals requiring respiratory therapy (e.g., those with chronic respiratory conditions) due to its medical-grade 93%±3% oxygen purity.
  • Travelers seeking lightweight portability (4.0lb/1.8kg with one battery) for trips.
  • Users with intermittent or weakened breathing (supported by Active Mode’s safety net for low breath detection).

How do I choose the oxygen setting?

Use the setting your clinician recommends. You can confirm day-to-day with a pulse oximeter or our star product O2Ring.

If using the optional O2Ring SpO₂ monitor, track your blood oxygen saturation in real time:

Target SpO₂: Aim for 92%–96% during rest/activity (or as advised by your doctor).

Adjust if needed: If SpO₂ drops below 90% during use, increase the setting by 1 level and recheck after 5–10 minutes.

Can I use it while sleeping?

For healthy users (e.g., occasional altitude-related oxygen needs during sleep): Pulse-dose delivery relies on breath detection. Very shallow or mouth-only breathing can reduce trigger detection during sleep. Active Mode may provide basic oxygen support, but consult the manufacturer or a doctor first.

For medical users (e.g., requiring nightly oxygen therapy): This device is not a substitute for continuous-flow home oxygen concentrators prescribed for sleep. Always follow your healthcare provider’s advice for sleep-specific oxygen therapy.

Can it be used with CPAP/BiPAP?

Pulse-dose is generally not compatible with standard CPAP/BiPAP circuits. If you need oxygen with PAP therapy, consult your clinician about a compatible continuous-flow solution.

Does it support a humidifier bottle?

Portable pulse-dose units typically don’t use external humidifier bottles.

How long does the battery last?

Battery life depends on the oxygen setting and breathing rate. Expect shorter runtime at higher settings. Check the spec sheet for typical ranges:

Flow Setting 1 ≈ 4.6 Hours with single battery; 9.2 Hours with dual;

Flow Setting 2 ≈ 3.5 Hours with single battery; 7 Hours with dual;

Flow Setting 3 ≈ 2.6 Hours with single battery; 5.2 Hours with dual;

Flow Setting 4 ≈ 2.6 Hours with single battery; 5.2 Hours with dual;

Flow Setting 5 ≈ 2.6 Hours with single battery; 5.2 Hours with dual.

Can I charge it in a car or power bank?

It includes an AC charger. Car/DC options may be available; see the accessories section. Use only approved chargers.

Can I use it while charging?

In most cases yes, but charging speed may slow while the unit is delivering oxygen.
