Wellue Smart Blood Pressure Watch: The Only One Under $200 with FDA Clearance

September 28, 2026 By Wellue Health

A real cuff. Blood pressure on your wrist.

Wellue Smart Blood Pressure Watch brings an inflatable micro cuff and oscillometric measurement together in a watch you can keep close. Sit down, position your wrist at heart level and start a reading. See your systolic and diastolic numbers on the screen, then keep a record for your next conversation with your care team.

We bring together FDA clearance for blood pressure measurement, timed checks and an app without a subscription. Here is how those features fit into everyday life, and how our published specifications compare with other cuff watches offered to U.S. buyers.

Blood pressure measurement, built into your day.

Wellue Smart Blood Pressure Watch has a regular price of $179. An inflatable micro cuff measures at your wrist, with FDA 510(k) clearance K182018 for blood pressure measurement. This makes it a medical device cleared for blood pressure measurement. Fits wrists 13.5 to 21.5 cm. No app subscription required.

Our combination: an inflatable cuff, a traceable FDA record and a price under $200. The cuff design is shared by several watches in this table. The difference to examine is the supporting documentation and the features you will use each day. Within this selected comparison, our watch has the specific FDA 510(k) record linked above.

the medical record behind your measurement

Our retail product uses model BPW1. The FDA clearance letter and summary identify Bluetooth Blood Pressure Monitor, BPW1. The FDA decision date is October 6, 2018. The intended use covers adult wrist blood pressure measurement using the oscillometric method.

We link the original document so you can see what the clearance covers. Under the 510(k) pathway, the FDA determines substantial equivalence to a legally marketed predicate for the stated intended use. The clearance belongs to the named device and indication; it is not a blanket endorsement of every smartwatch feature.

FDA clearance 34 days before OMRON's K182481 decision.

The FDA cleared our device under K182018 on October 6, 2018. That was 34 days before the November 9, 2018 clearance decision for OMRON's K182481.

This compares the two FDA clearance dates, not retail launch dates.

OMRON HeartGuide: a historical specification reference

The U.S. BP8000 medium model manual lists a wrist range of 16 to 19 cm and oscillometric measurement. OMRON's large model manual lists a pressure tolerance of ±3 mmHg, pulse range of 40 to 180 beats per minute and automatic pump inflation. These are published specifications, not results from a comparison test. Medium model manual; Large model manual.

OMRON announced a $499 U.S. launch price in January 2019. That historical price is not used in the current comparison above. We have not confirmed a current U.S. sale offer for this model. OMRON's original launch announcement.

what happens inside the cuff during a reading?

Inside the wristband, a small air bladder inflates during a reading. Our watch detects the pressure oscillations associated with your pulse and uses them to calculate systolic and diastolic blood pressure. No calibration against a separate arm cuff is required. That means one less setup step before you begin checking your numbers. Explore how the micro cuff works.

Wait for SYS and DIA. The changing number you see during inflation is part of the measurement process. Your final blood pressure result appears after the cycle completes. Record those completed results rather than an intermediate cuff pressure.

Understand the accuracy specification. Our FDA summary describes ±3 mmHg as static pressure accuracy. This is not a guarantee that every reading on a person will fall within three points of another monitor. Clinical validation, pressure sensor testing and correct technique answer different questions. See the technical terminology in the FDA summary.

When you compare devices, keep measurement range and accuracy tolerance separate. A larger numerical range is not, by itself, evidence of better accuracy.

a better routine starts with the right fit

Measure your wrist once before choosing your watch. Our supported circumference is 13.5 to 21.5 cm. A strap that closes around your wrist is not necessarily a cuff that fits for measurement. For example, 13.8 cm is inside our stated range; 22 cm is outside it. Fit is a starting requirement, not a guarantee of accuracy.

Check your wrist size and explore the watch. Follow the supplied placement instructions and contact us if you are close to either size limit or need help with fastening.

Make each reading comparable. Rest quietly for at least five minutes, avoid smoking, caffeine and exercise during the preceding 30 minutes, and remain still. Support your arm with the wrist at heart level, follow the watch instructions, and avoid talking during inflation. The AHA advises taking two readings one minute apart and recording them. Bring your monitor to an appointment so your clinician can review your technique and readings. See the preparation instructions.

your schedule. your readings. no app subscription fees.

Make room for regular checks without remembering every start time. Set timed blood pressure measurements at 30, 60, 120 or 240 minute intervals. Choose times when you can keep your wrist correctly positioned and remain still. See our scheduling instructions.

Each scheduled inflation produces an individual reading. It is not continuous blood pressure monitoring, and it does not establish equivalence to a clinician prescribed ambulatory assessment. A reminder, a timed inflation and continuous sensing are different functions.

Automatic heart rate tracking has its own app setting. SpO₂ checks start manually on the watch. Our watch does not provide a low blood pressure threshold alarm and is not an emergency alert system.

Your routine does not need a subscription. Connect to MasWear to review your information without a recurring app fee. You can also start a blood pressure measurement and view the result directly on the watch, so reaching for your phone is not part of every check. Explore app access and setup.

At home, that can mean checking your numbers before you open the day's messages. At your desk, it can mean using a quiet seated break to take a reading. When you are away overnight, the cuff is already part of the watch. Wherever you use it, settle first and follow the same measurement instructions.

questions to answer before choosing a blood pressure watch

Does FDA clearance cover every function on the watch?

Our FDA clearance supports the blood pressure indication in K182018. Optical heart rate and oxygen tracking are wellness functions outside that clearance. We keep that distinction clear so you know what each feature is designed to do.

Will a cuff watch always match an upper arm monitor?

Identical numbers are not guaranteed. Different measurement times and positions make an informal comparison hard to interpret. Bring the devices and your records to a healthcare professional rather than deciding which is correct from one pair of readings. The AHA recommends a validated upper arm device for home monitoring.

Can I use watch readings to change my medication?

Do not stop or change blood pressure medication without guidance from your healthcare professional. Home records support a conversation with your care team; they do not replace it. AHA guidance for home monitoring.

What should I check before I place an order?

Start with your wrist circumference and measurement needs. Then review phone compatibility and the supplied instructions. If monitoring is part of your treatment, ask your clinician whether a wrist device suits your care plan. Explore our watch and choose your configuration.

fda clearance. a real cuff. all for $179.

Choosing an affordable blood pressure watch starts with what sits behind the number on its screen. Wellue Smart Blood Pressure Watch combines an inflatable micro cuff, oscillometric measurement and FDA 510(k) clearance for blood pressure measurement at a regular price of $179.

The comparison above brings the important differences into view: medical documentation, cuff design, wrist fit and measurement features. Our FDA record gives you a specific device document to check. The cuff brings the measurement process to your wrist. Timed readings help you build a routine, while no required app subscription keeps access straightforward.

That translates into a simple daily experience. Take a quiet seated break, position your wrist at heart level and see your result directly on the watch. Use the app to review your records when it suits you. With a supported wrist circumference of 13.5 to 21.5 cm, checking your fit is the next step toward making this watch part of your routine.

Bring documented blood pressure measurement closer to your everyday life. Explore the watch, check your fit and choose the features that work for you. Follow the measurement instructions and your healthcare professional's guidance.
