  • SDNN: The standard deviation of all NN intervals.
  • RMSSD: The root mean square of the mean of the squared differences of two consecutive R-R intervals in the 24-hour recordings.
  • SDANN: The standard deviation of all average normal sinus R-R intervals for all 5-minute segments in the 24-hour recordings.
  • SDSD: The standard deviation of the differences between successive NN intervals.
  • PNN50: Percentage of successive RR intervals that differ by more than 50 ms.
  • TINN: Baseline width of the RR interval histogram.
  • LF: Low Frequency (Frequenzbereich: 0,04 - 0,15Hz).
  • HF: High Frequency power (frequency activity in the 0.15 - 0.40Hz range)
  • VLF: Very Low Frequency (Frequenzbereich: 0,00 - 0,04Hz)

  • Christopher: You might consider a cheaper and better way to do what you want. Wear a polar H10 chest strap tightly during sleep while recording on EliteHRV on your smartphone. Load Kubios on your PC, and download the the ELITEHRV raw data on your PC and view it in Kubios. It produces a beautiful chart of HR over time. With artifacts which you don’t care about since you are not concerned with arrythmia. Coming soon, Kubios will have this capability without using ELiteHRV in the middle adding steps.

  • CONS: Product is falsely advertised. The claims of sophisticated “AI” which detects signs of Afib during normal rhythm are completely false. The device does not even try to do that. Which is too bad because such software does exist elsewhere. Instead this product has relatively commonplace and very simple analysis software of a relatively low sophistication. It misses PAC’s at resting heart rates nearly 100% of the time (HR about 60), but picks them up at elevated heart rates, as well as couplets or more. I can’t speak for detection of other issues which do not occur in me.

    PROS: It serves as a reliable “patch” two lead ecg without spending a fortune or even seeing the doctor. The hardware is excellent, it is comfortable and produces a very reliable ecg. I recommend wearing it vertically between the breasts to reduce muscle related electrical artifact. I assume it picks up Afib since it picks up two or more PAC’s, and if so, is a fantastic consumer tool for screening for this. It would be most useful to people who are willing to learn some basics of interpretation in order to validate the device for your purposes, or have somebody who could look at some strips to confirm that the findings of interest to you are being picked up.
