Please hold the device with both hands. If the ECG measurement shows a weak signal in lead I, it is advisable to switch to lead II or a chest lead.

Battery life is good for unit size. Chest strap just holds the unit in place so you need a flat chest conformation, I'd like a strap with wider pickups feeding the ecg unit rather than direct contact.
